Summary

The Load Out Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of shipping/receiving department associates along with box stack off associates. This position would also be promoting and maintaining positive working relationships within the team members. Management of the shipping dock. Duties include, but are not limited, ensuring HACCP and Food Safety shipping regulations are met, accurate inventory management, as well as timely and efficient coordination of shipments. Scheduled hours of work for non-exempt associates are determined by management to meet business needs. Overtime and/or on-call support may be scheduled as needed and only when approved by management.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities In charge of all shipping and receiving along with the ordering of pallets and recycling trailer. Must be a qualified forklift operator and be willing to drive shag truck or willing to learn both. Ensure processes are in place to continuously reduce turnover, improve safety results as measured by the Safety Scorecard, and create the environment that will make the facility the Employer of Choice in the area.  Perform daily and monthly safety audits. Ensures processes are in place to continually provide training to improve supervisory skills of staff, and improve the skill set of the hourly production associates to maximize the results of individual and team efforts. Complete yearly training with all shipping team members. Must be able to load trucks, bill out all orders, and stacker sheets daily as well as pick sheets for dock truck loaders. Support and promote the company’s annual People, Products, and Profitability goals through effective planning, communication, emphasizing the requirement for all team members to be efficient and effective in their respective responsibilities Fill out of workorders for forklifts and dock repairs. Monitor loaded trailers. Minimum Education High School Diploma or GED required (bachelor’s degree preferred). Experience Requirements 5+ years of related work experience.  Computer literate with skills in Microsoft Office.  Requires prior management experience with proven track record demonstrating ability to lead people and get results.  Must be able to organize multiple protocols/projects and complete on schedule. Able to analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and functional level.  Knowledge of and ability to provide strong customer service.  Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization. Must be able to travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and/or company business. Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.

When in a plant environment:

Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in pork, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting and grasping varies in repetitions, distances, degrees, angle weights, height, intervals of time, object grasped and body positions depending upon the task being performed.
