Reports to Logistics Supervisor
Job dimensionsResponsible for monitoring the filtering, loading, and movement of different latex products to assigned trailer/railcars.
ActivitiesActivities are related to logistics for the Arkema Coating Resins business located in St. Charles.
Monitor loading of different latex products to maintain an acceptable flow of material to the trailer/railcar. Allocate and coordinate trailers to be transported from the loading station to the staging yard in a timely manner. Comply with standard operating procedures associated with the manual cleaning of multiple latex filters to maintain an acceptable flow of material to the container. Comply with standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines to safely load various containers for shipment. Complete the movement of material from trailer to trailer, trailer to tank, and trailer to railcars, depending on the specific blending activity needed. Ownership of the blend tank storage tank and associated equipment. Complete equipment isolation and decontamination, apply Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), and author and authorize Safe Work Permits for equipment maintenance. Assist the Day Auxiliary Operator with cleaning of finished latex storage tanks. Follow housekeeping and safety procedures to insure personal safety and the safety of others. Responsible for unloading of deliveries at the warehouse dock. Maintain forklift certification and operate all powered equipment in an efficient and safe manner.Some warehouse operations including unloading material totes.
Attend daily meetings and provide routine communication to the daily loading activities and associated production needs. Follow up these communications in writing, telephone or e-mail as needed. Assist with the delivery of samples brought in from trans-loading facility to the ACR lab for testing. Routine use of a computer to communicate via e-mail, complete online training and other tasks as assigned. Work closely with control board operator to maintain operations.Context and environment
Works closely with peer group to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures. Works closely with other functions, such as control room operators and quality control ensure efficient operation of the plant to meet production demand.

Qualifications / experience required
High school diploma or graduate equivalency required. 1-3 years warehousing or logistics experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment is preferred. Ability to work with minimal supervision while acting as a strong team member. Strong communication skills required Previous forklift or powered industrial equipment license or certification is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Maintenance work will occasionally require confined space entries, working at elevated heights, using respirators, working outdoors in extreme temperatures etc., Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times. Must be able to work from ladders, scaffolding or powered lifts when required.
