As a Loan Servicing Analyst within our Wholesale Lending Services team, you will be responsible for providing operational support to our Commercial & Investment Banking operations. You will handle syndicated credit structures managed by us or bilateral loans extended solely by us. In this role, you will administer a portfolio of approximately 30-40 syndicated accounts, maintaining direct contact with borrowers, lenders, and business partners while performing various loan servicing tasks.
Job Responsibilities
Initiate loan activity (fundings, repricings, payments) as instructed by the client in accordance with credit agreementsCalculate and track complex interest and fee accruals at various rate levels across changing lender distributionsReconcile daily funding and payment activity to account for all daily cash transactionsRead and interpret complex legal credit agreements and related documentation working with attorneys when applicableInitiate and reconcile automated funds movement in accordance with client/lender instructionsMonitor and escalate past due principal, interest, and fees to ensure that the loan accounting system is accurate and provide clients timely and accurate invoicesMaintain margin changes and proper communication to bank groupRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills
Bachelor's degree or 1+ year of experience with EITHER Loan, Finance, or Securities experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)General to intermediate accounting knowledgeAbility to manage concurrent assignments in an effective, efficient and organize mannerAbility to work independently within a team environmentExcellent oral and written communications skills and strong interpersonal/client servicing skillsStrong analytical, problem solving and proven decision-making skillsPreferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Familiarity with loan-based software (LoanIQ, ClearPar)Familiarity with syndicated loans and Loan Syndication and Trading Association (LSTA) standardsPrior knowledge of loan products or trading operations
