Overview

The Loan Servicing Specialist is a position in a fast-paced, dynamic and HIGHLY-VISIBLE environment where providing an exceptional level of service to both external and internal Customers is the primary focus.

 

As one of the organization’s principal points of contacts with our Customers, an emphasis is placed on the continual development of cross-channel Product Knowledge (Loan & Retail Products).

 

The Customer Service/Loan Servicing Specialist will use active listening to help understand and better serve the Customer’s needs in a professional, courteous manner.

Responsibilities Process all Loan Advances on simplex products ensuring proper authorization and commitment availability.Process non-standard Loan Payments on various products.Process Loan Demand Statements on simplex products ensuring all principal and interest are included and inclusive of all appropriate feesProcess Loan Payoffs on simplex products and closing of commitments.Prepare Wire Instructions and input into the Wire System and/or Credit Funds to the borrower’s deposit accountPerform Escrow Analysis as required by state with appropriate refunds and/or loan amortizationDisburse all escrow payments for tax and insurancePerform MERS activitiesMay perform SBA reporting and its portfolio management and disbursement to ColsonProcess miscellaneous maintenance transactionsPerform End-of-Day balancing ensuring all activities are reconciled with the General LedgerRespond to internal customer inquiriesProvide guidance and training to junior Loan Servicing SpecialistWork on special projects as assigned by Manager related to the Data Accuracy and accurate compliance requirements.Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 2-5 years Call Center/Loan experience in a banking environmentPC & Windows based application proficiencyStrong Math aptitudeCandidate must have the ability to work flexible hours and maintain good punctuality/attendanceHigh School graduate or equivalent

 

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS

Professional working proficiency in Mandarin and or Cantonese is a plusKnowledge of LPS and Metavante Insight highly desirableAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communications and interpersonal relationship skillsDesire to trouble-shoot and solve problems for Customers Compensation The base pay range for this position is USD $21.00/Hr. - USD $24.00/Hr.
