The Lobby Bar Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food and beverage outlets, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and maintaining quality service standards. This role supports the Assistant Outlet Manager and/or Manager by supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences. 


Job Specific

Maintains beverage staffing levels so as to provide for optimal performanceEstablishes and ensures adherence to all departmental guidelines, policies, and proceduresResponsible for smooth, efficient, cost effective operation of outlet, to include: labor management, supervision of all aspects of service, inventory control and product selectionPersonally supervises all activities for production/delivery of quality product/serviceInteracts with guests frequently to ensure satisfaction and enjoyment of dining experienceReview and submits for approval all department storeroom requisitions, ensures operational costs are kept within forecasted budgetary guidelinesEstablishes appropriate par levels for all inventories so as to support forecasted activities without experiencing shortages or excessive inventory situations.Ensures security, control and proper use of operating supplies and equipment for all beverage outletsAttends all required hotel meetings to keep abreast of in-house activities, special promotions and upcoming events, maintain communications with other departments within the hotelCommunicates daily with outlet managers to obtain/provide current information regarding daily activities/functions and upcoming eventsTrains personnel as needed in order to ensure superior levels of performanceFollows New Hire Training and ongoing Star Service Competency programs in accordance with hotel policyEvaluates changes in guest needs, the hotels guest mix and industry competitive set, to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes necessary to ensure guest and employee satisfaction, while maintaining market dominance and exceptional financial performanceOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of all matters related to the proper administration of “up-scale” beverage service operations.Certifications; “Food Service Manager” as required by State of Florida regulations, TIPS or Equivalent beverage certificationAbility to maintain effective operating and control processes designed to provide maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to guest satisfaction criteriaBeverage knowledge including fine wines, liquors, beers and sakeAbility to motivate staff to provide exceptional service during slow and busy meal periodsSelf motivated to take on projects to improve restaurant and loungeAbility to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
