Job Title Local Dispatcher, Weekend Shift (Plant IT, Dalton, GA) Friday - Sunday, 6 pm - 6 am Position Overview Position Overview: Effectively monitor all loads under dispatch authority to provide safe and on-time service to our customers, vendors and distribution centers. Responsibilities: Monitor all loads under dispatch authority for on-time service, communicating status updates to include time changes, appointments and updates to customers and vendors . Prepare daily dispatch schedule for drivers and equipment. Communicate professionally with Shaw drivers as well as internal and external customers. Strictly follow Risk Management guidelines when handling accidents and incidents. Communicate with dispatchers and supervisors to ensure effective flow of information between shifts. Ability to think critically and utilize all resources to cover ever changing business conditions. Share responsibilit ies with Transportation Supervisor s to monitor drivers’ hours of service (HOS) to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations.
