Local Government Regulatory Compliance Manager

Job Description Responsible for ensuring Globe's adherence to privacy laws, regulations, and best practices. Tasked in developing and implementing privacy policies and procedures, conducting privacy assessments and audits, providing privacy training and awareness programs, and serving as a point of contact for privacy-related inquiries or complaints.

 DUTIES & AND RESPONSIBILITIES

a. LGU Ordinances & Regulations:

1. In-depth knowledge of local government ordinances and regulations related to telecommunications infrastructure deployment, operations, and services.

2. Familiarity with zoning laws, building codes, and other relevant local government issuances.

3. Manage, assist and facilitate the vendor assigned to handle the permitting process

b. Government Relations:

1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with local government officials (e.g., mayors, councilors, city planners).

2. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with LGU representatives.

3. Negotiation and advocacy skills to address local concerns and obtain necessary permits and approvals.

c. Data Analysis & Reporting:

1. Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.

2. Ability to track and report on vendor compliance issues and performance metrics

Scope:

1. Responsible for ensuring the vendor compliance with all applicable LGU ordinances and regulations across all Globe operations in the Philippines.

Scope may include but is not limited to:

2. Negotiate and assist vendor in the necessary permits and approvals for new infrastructure deployments (e.g., cell towers, fiber optic cables).

2. Addressing concerns and complaints from local communities and government officials.

3. Representing Globe Telecom in LGU meetings and public hearings.

4. Monitoring and tracking changes in LGU regulations.
