R&D Department Lead

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Product Manager in optimizing the offer portfolio and return on investment. Each day, you will ensure that ABB has full understanding of market requirements in a specific area and can transform those requirements into offer specifications and development activities. You will also showcase your expertise by performing various offer lifecycle activities supporting the development, launch, maintenance, pricing, and profitability. - Be responsible for the localization of global standard solution, including the technical transfer and the relevant certificate management- Be responsible for the product strategy and the life cycle management- Be responsible for the analysis of the product cost and profit, leading the product cost optimization and the continued improvement- Cooperate within LPG teams, enhance the customers satisfaction- Supporting in the technical and application area for customers and colleagues, support the team to solve the customers’ problem- As the product expert to support the global product development- Be the owner of the local standard solution, tracking and leading the development as well as the product certificate activities- Supporting to the local DTO/ETO solution, and advice the optimized solution to GPM- Assists sales and marketing teams in the launch of new products and contributes to marketing plans.- Prepares together with GPM team and with Marketing & Communication (MarCom) required marketing and promotional tools (e.g. presentation, catalogue, etc.).- Creates together with GPM team external and internal product training modules and programs.- Prepare the analysis report for competitors’ product

Qualifications for the role

Electrical or Mechanical background, 5 years relevant industry working experience.Master and relevant product management experience are preferred.Technical working experience in Low Voltage SystemFamiliar with the Low voltage system standard and relevant standardsGood enough in English skill（Spoken and written）Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication and documentation skills.With knowledge of the material application and process is preferredWith knowledge of electrical applications (net systems, control philosophies, cabling, earthing, end consumer and distribution consumer circuits, functional units, electrical devices) is preferredWith knowledge of relevant electrical calculations and mechanical calculations are preferred
