Your Role

Develop & Implement India localization Strategies across all  Categories ( Plastics, Stampings, Castings, Connectors , Infotainment Display units, etc ) to support India business.

Identify, evaluate & onboard local suppliers which would meet the business requirements.

Develop and qualify new suppliers to support localization initiative.

Collaborate with PC&L team to optimize Import duties by aligning the localization Strategies.

Co-ordinate with the Supplier quality team to ensure Quality standards and Compliance are met.

Work with the Global team to Leverage & Expand India supply base to cater Global needs.

Collaborate with Engineering team to Implement and optimize PLI ( Production Linked Incentive) Schemes.

Support the Regional Program Strategy and align with category/SQ&D on supplier development strategy.

Strategize “In India – for India” initiative to cater the requirements for India Business.

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

Bachelor/Master Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or similar qualification

More than 10 years of experience in Global Supply Management with internationally operating corporations, including over 2 years of supervisor/management role.

Extensive knowledge of Mechanical category and mechatronics supplier base and manufacturing processes for Automotive applications.

Ability to manage supplier relationships with absolutes of ethics and integrity, and experience in working “up front” with suppliers to ensure superior material performance

Proficiency in business finance to support business decisions

Strong analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills

Ability to cope with demanding environment and conflict resolution

Strong proficiency in English

Excellent computer skills with MS Office programs
