What You Will Be Doing

Conduct thorough localization QA for Ivanti products to ensure high-quality foreign language releases. Prepare and maintain a comprehensive set of test machines and operating systems for diverse product testing. Collaborate with translation suppliers, enforcing linguistic quality assurance standards and timelines. Perform software localization testing and develop customized test plans and cases for various products. Translate or review software documentation, maintaining mastery in both IT networking and security terminology. Work cross-functionally with engineering teams to identify and resolve defects associated with localized products. Demonstrate leadership by managing multi-language testing efforts and mentoring junior QA staff. Foster a proactive team environment that prioritizes quality, customer satisfaction, and timely delivery of localized solutions.

 

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have

Native/Near Native or Professional Business level fluency in Portuguese (Brazilian) and Business level fluency in English. Experience in software localization testing with the ability to create and implement test plans and test cases. Proficiency with bug tracking tools and a solid understanding of bug lifecycles. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills related to software quality assurance. Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and client/server architecture. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a multi-language environment and work with various OS platforms, including iOS/Android and Windows/Mac. Excellent communication skills and a professional team player with strong leadership capabilities. Self-motivated with good stress management skills and a keen attention to detail.

 

Roadmap for Success

First 90 Days: Complete onboarding and training on Ivanti’s products and quality assurance processes. Familiarize with the localization testing frameworks and tools used within the team. Develop an understanding of the foreign language products and market requirements. Build relationships with key team members, including software engineers and translation suppliers. Assist with initial localization QA testing to gain hands-on experience. Review and analyze existing test plans and test cases to enhance understanding of current standards. First 6 Months: Implement and maintain quality standards for localization in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Manage relationships with translation suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliverables. Conduct independent translation reviews and contribute to localization QA efforts. Develop customized test plans and validate defect reports with engineers. Participate in weekly team meetings to provide updates on ongoing projects and initiatives. Begin leading small localization projects or initiatives to develop leadership skills. First 12 Months: Take ownership of comprehensive localization QA processes for multiple language products. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by suggesting enhancements to testing methodologies and tools. Evaluate and refine resource management strategies across various time zones. Act as the key point of contact for localization-related inquiries within and outside the organization. Provide mentorship and support to new team members or interns, fostering a collaborative work environment. Present findings and results on localization projects to stakeholders, showcasing impact on product quality and user satisfaction.
