Locum Veterinarian
**Primary Responsibilities of a Locum Veterinarian** **Provide Comprehensive Medical Care** + Examine, diagnose, and treat feline patients for a wide range of medical conditions, illnesses, and injuries. + Perform preventive care services including vaccinations, wellness exams and parasite prevention. + Develop individualized care plans tailored to the unique needs of each cat. **Client Education and Communication** + Communicate clearly and compassionately with cat owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and home care instructions. + Educate clients on feline nutrition, behavior, preventive medicine, and early disease detection. **Collaborate with the Veterinary Team** + Work closely with veterinary technicians, assistants, and CSRs to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. **Maintain Medical Records and Compliance** + Accurately document all medical findings, treatments, and communications in patient records. + Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and professional standards, including controlled drug regulations and hospital protocols. **Promote Feline-Friendly Practices** + Support the hospital’s Cat Friendly Practice standards. + Implement stress-reducing techniques for feline patients, including gentle handling and environmental adjustments. **If you are a current associate, you will need to apply through our internal career site.
