Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?
Based in a world class Horizon North camp facility, the regular shift for this position is 7 days on and 7 days off, with 12-hour workdays. Transportation is provided to site from the closest airport.

The Lodging Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that Lodging operates in accordance with clients Policies and Procedures. . The successful candidate will assist in coordination of camp operations, as well as site janitorial

This position is safety sensitive and requires drug, alcohol, and fit to work testing as a condition of employment. 

Key Responsibilities:

Enforce a standard of excellence regarding operations, cleanliness, and food qualityConduct regular camp and site janitorial inspections and auditsHandle, follow up, and track all Communication Forms and Maintenance RequestsChampion and participate in clients Safety Leadership Development ProgramReview, submit and action any Hazard Observation Forms from camps and site janitorialTrack camp infractions with the assistance of security and occurrences related to LodgingAssist the Logistics Coordinator with flight check in and other duties as requiredAssist social committee where required when activities take placeMaintain effective relationships with internal stake holdersEnsure contractors comply with clients’ standards, expectations, AHS & other regulatory guidelinesEnsure efficient processes and practices are in place & regularly monitor for compliance. Propose enhancements where appropriateEnsure safe work environment standards are in place and operating effectivelyParticipate/support in strategic Lodging operational initiativesAssist/maintain the daily operations of the contractor Lodging and Site Janitorial teams

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You have a minimum 3+ years of Camp operations experience in a supervisory role.Experience with Orissa and/or CIRYS is an assetKnowledge of OH&S, AHS and other applicable regulations and codes is essentialStrong supervisory, interpersonal, networking, negotiation and diplomacy skillsStrong judgement and discretionary skills in both formal and informal communicationExcellent analytical, time management and organizational skillsExcellent verbal, written and presentation skillsAbility to work independently, multi-task, and manage competing priorities, effectively in a changing environment and within defined timelinesDesire to drive continuous improvement, with strong attention to detailProficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Requirements: Food Safe Level 1, and H2S AliveMust be legally entitled to work in Canada
