Job Summary:
The Lodging Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the front desk, reservations, housekeeping team supervision, and group sales operations. This position is responsible for duties related to welcoming guests, managing reservations and providing access to the Hotel, Campgrounds, and RVs at the resort. This position also manages the entire Group experience from booking to actively organizing, meeting and liaising with groups with assistance from the Group Sales Coordinator. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager. You will actively cultivate a safe, friendly, and fun work environment where outdoor adventure and environmental stewardship are embraced. Coordinate Housekeeping staff, liaising with Lead housekeeper, Housekeeping Inspector and Operations Manager for scheduling, ordering supplies and daily rooms cleaning and updating availability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and Lead the Front Desk and Night Auditor onboarding, training, development, and performance reviews.
Documents employee issues in collaboration with the Operations Manager and Human Resources Manager.
Greet and assist visitors, answer questions and explain regulations.
Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries.
Manage reservation processes with care, precision and finesse.
Retain a report of occupied or vacant motel rooms, campgrounds and RV.
Distribute maps, park rules and local information.
Assist the Operations Manager in managing the departmental budget, including labor costs and operational expenses.
Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations to staff to ensure adherence to service standards and departmental goals.
Be familiar with local points of interest and the location of services that might be requested by guests such as eateries, sundries, refreshments, churches, tourist attractions and local events.
Oversees the Lost and Found program
Oversees the housekeeping team duties and enters the team schedule into Workday.
Perform basic duties in common areas to maintain an attractive and clean environment.
Report any disturbances or damage to the General Manager and Operations Manager.
Monitor Guest Feedback
Ensures that Front Desk Team members will report all disturbances to the General Manager, Operations Manager, or designee to take action.
You are to inform guests of rules and regulations.
Always set an example by being a professional, knowledgeable, practicing good housekeeping and by observing all rules and regulations.
Be observant for activities requiring immediate attention, notify the General Manager as problems arise.
Keep a written report of complaints and criticism of park facilities, report situations that could affect the health and safety of visitors, emergencies, alerts and report any maintenance items which need immediate attention.
Gives and collects comments cards; oversees the compiling of visitor satisfaction reports, comments cards, trends analysis and prepared the monthly summary, sets an example to always provide excellent guest services.
Ability to learn and master dynamic room pricing.

Work Location:
Due to the in-person nature of the hospitality business, this position is on-site. Housing will be provided on-site.
A flexible schedule with commuting from Pahrump, Beatty or Las Vegas will be considered.
Due to the nature of our business, Stovepipe Wells Village is open every day. You must be prepared to work a schedule which may include weekends, and holidays.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Able to work and thrive in Death Valley National Park.
Ability to lead Front Desk requirements and compliance with our concessions contract.
Organizational system skills for records and document control.
Technical skills utilizing cloud-based databases, reservation systems, etc.
Establish successful working relationships with co-workers, Park Service and the public.
Use good professional judgment, honesty, and integrity in decision making.
Interact with the public and stakeholders in a professional manner and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to get along well with people, be honest, punctual and reliable, calm and friendly.
Ability to physically walk through the hotel, RV site and campground areas if needed.
Ability to adapt to changing work conditions.
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Ability to coach, lead, and discipline team members as needed.
Minimum 1 year experience working in lodging.
Be able to lift, up to 15 pounds for moving light furniture, boxes or packages.
Current CPR w/AED and First Aid medical certification is required and certification is provided on-the-job upon hire

Compensation: Salaried Position
$68,000. depending on qualifications and experience. On-site housing included.
