Content Operations is ultimately responsible for successfully delivering Disney’s entertainment and sports content to millions of people every day. This involves developing, operating, and managing a global content supply chain – the myriad of steps involved from taking a finalized TV show/movie, or live piece of content, from inside Disney to audiences around the globe, in their preferred language and format. This team also manages technology operations in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
**Job Summary:**
The Log Editor is responsible for all aspects in the log creation process, from program scheduling to finalization and delivery for multicast. This includes communicating with multiple internal departments and external sources to ensure that all elements on the daily broadcast log are accurate. Responsibilities may change daily to fit the needs of the department.
**Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:**
+ Manages the creation of the On-Air Log ensuring all programming, navigational, promotional and graphic elements are properly processed and placed in the AdVisor Traffic ecosystem.
+ Creates and maintains program formats based on Program scheduling guidelines.
+ Extensive coordination with Media Planning and Programming to address log issues or updates prior to log finalization and facilitate day of air changes.
+ Works with Agencies and Ad Sales/Marketing departments in managing and maintaining accuracy and application of all commercial/sponsorship copy instructions, adhering to special instructions for spot approval and placement from the Legal and Standards & Practices departments.
+ Work closely with Network Manager, internal promo/sales partners and 3rd party digital media providers in obtaining commercial delivery status.
+ Process compliance reports to ensure placement of commercial/sponsorship and marketing spots meet current guidelines and do not violate any restrictions.
+ Assist Traffic management with various departmental projects e.g. RIM, SOP updates, Software regression testing.
+ Any other duties needed to help achieve Business Objectives.
**Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:**
Basic Qualifications
+ A minimum of one year related experience in Television Traffic.
+ Must be computer literate.
+ Must have clerical and data input experience.
+ Must be organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
+ Must have strong interpersonal skills and capable of working effectively within a team environment and across multiple business platforms.
+ Must be capable of learning new system procedures/functions as they pertain to the needs of our business.
+ Must be capable of explaining oneself both verbally and in writing.
+ Ability to make decisions quickly and effectively under pressure.
+ Must have a willingness to adapt in an industry environment where change is inevitable.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Working knowledge of various Traffic systems, Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Education
+ Bachelors degree in Television/Radio Broadcasting or equivalent experience
The hiring range for this position in California is $44,000 to $58,900 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
