Job Description:
Unpaid volunteer contributing time to Intermountain Healthcare in various roles.We have the following expectations of our volunteers at Logan Regional Hospital:
Understanding that our patients, families and guests are our first priority, a consecutive six month commitment, about 3 hours given once a week and communication with our volunteer services office.
After you submit your application, you will receive an email to schedule an interview. During the interview, you will choose an area and time that works best with your schedule that is during the work week and daytime hours for the initial assignment. The following assignments are currently available for new volunteers:
-Music (playing the piano near the cafeteria): these shifts can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on availability.
Mon: 900-1030, 1300-1430
Tue: 900-1030, 1130-1300
Wed: 900-1030, 1330-1500
Thur: 900-1600
Fri: 1430-1700
-Wayfinding:
Mon: 1200-1500
Tue: 1200-1500
Wed: 900-1500
-Imaging: there are certain qualifications that must be met for this assignment.
Wed: 1000-1400
-PT:
Wed: 1100-1400
Thur: 1000-1200
Fri: 900-1200
Please be advised that the volunteering process is intensive and may take 2-3 weeks to get through.
Basic Competencies (knowledge, motor skills and behaviors): Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Sensitive to patient and family situations / dynamics. Able to speak, read and understand English. Able to work alone and independently (within scope of assigned duties). Work with diverse populations. Ability to recognize boundaries and limitations of duties and not act independently of those functions.
Service Activities (tasks and expectations): Your duties will vary depending on the area you choose to volunteer in.
