LOGCAP – Fire Alarm Technician (USN) – Marshall Islands
This Opportunity

Seeking a Fire Alarm Technician  (USN) based in the United states and supporting projects on multiple sites within INDOPACOM-Marshall Islands region (USAG-KA (Kwajalein and Roi-Namur)) in support of LOGCAP V.

Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for performing comprehensive inspections, testing, assessments, of fire suppression systems at designated facilities within the Reagan Test Site (RTS) and other locations on Kwajalein Atoll. Ensure compliance with all applicable standards, including NFPA standards, the UFC, 29 CFR 1910.155, and manufacturer specifications.  Under the direction of the Fire Alarm Lead, provides reliable support through maintaining, designing and modification of fire protections fire alarm systems. Conducts thorough on-site inspections and preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems. Responds to corrective maintenance work requests, requests material as needed to repair the fault Join our team and grow with us as we provide best in-class services that help clients solve their most complex challenges.

Your Impact 

Maintains, designs, and modifies fire alarm systems as requiredEffectively designs, select components, or modifies existing systems after a design criteria is determinedCapable of independently determining Fire Protection requirements and options based on project design criteriaDiagnoses and evaluates systems that require servicing as well troubleshoots issues that arise. Makes repairs as necessary. Integrates firmware and hardware components of the overall system designDocuments a regular inspection and maintenance program in accordance with NFPA requirementsPerform other duties as assigned 

Required Qualifications 

Use of computers with Microsoft software products (e.g. Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point) as well as other scheduling software. Use of printers, calculator, FAX machine, copy machine and other general office equipment.Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.Must maintain a valid driver’s license from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment dateMust maintain a valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date.  Passport must have a minimum of 6 blank pages prior to OCONUS mobilization. Must satisfy the USARPAC Force Health Protection Guidance medical requirements for INDOPACOM prior to OCONUS mobilization, must be able to maintain a Medically Qualified (MQ) rating on an annual basis. Must be CAC eligible and able to gain and maintain authorized entry onto US military installations.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Additional Required Qualifications  

Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.High School Diploma or equivalent, Electrical and/or Engineering degree (preferred), NICET III (preferred).Experience:Minimum nine (9) proven years of experience in fire emergency services as a Fire Alarm Technician. Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screenComply with Company Drug and Alcohol PolicyProficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)US Citizenship with US Passport 

Skills:

Knowledge of Fire Alarm System componentsKnowledge of safety principles pertaining to fire protectionKnowledge of fire hazards common to commercial, industrial and residential structures.Ability to prepare reports and make recommendationsKnowledge in the area of construction and modification plans review 

Working Conditions:

Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months).Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. 

Physical Requirements:

Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
