Logistic Associate II - Salvage

This role is responsible for the accurate and timely picking, packing, preparing, and shipping of all customer orders. Additionally, the role is responsible for accurate material handling and cycle count functions.

What You Will Do:

Performs data entry to release, moves into location, or adjusts inventory within computer softwareAddresses departmental paperwork and conducts physical searches of missing products Assists in researching discrepancies in cycle countsProvide daily feedback to process owners with root cause analysis, including login details if availableProvide inventory adjustment details to corporate based on qualifying thresholdsReports discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping purposesWorks with establishment representatives to rectify problems such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specificationsTracks departmental data and generates applicable reports as neededAdhere to strict regulatory safety and quality standardsDesigning of queries, compiling of data, and generation of reports in MS ExcelImplementing, conducting, and administering waste trainingCharting and graphing of data for reporting purposesIdentifies items with a quantity discrepancy and promptly communicates with the Supervisor and/or Lead Maintains the 5S cleanliness of the picking area and pulls damaged products from bins  Follows all safety procedures and policies Follows all warehouse procedures and policiesDisposition of damaged products, scrap products, and hazardous products that will be shipped to our waste provider

Position Details:

Location: McDonough, GA - Warehouse Work week and shifts available: 1st shift - Monday - Friday 7am – 3pmCompensation: $24.00 per hour with some OT required

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED1 year of previous stand-up forklift operating experienceAccurate record keeping of hazardous waste purposes2 years of previous plant or warehouse experience shipping/receiving1 year of working knowledge of inventory systems, SAP, WMS and MS Programs or ERP SystemsExperience with USDOT regulations related to shipping hazardous materialsExperienced with Hazard Inventory Control No immigration sponsorship is offered for this role 

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift/carry 50lbsMust be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field RCRA Certification and Hazwoper certificationEmergency Response TeamStrong Chemical knowledgeStrong Safety knowledgeExperienced with emergency spillsWorking knowledge of RCRA (Resources Conservation Recovery Act)Excellent communication and time management skillsStrong oral and communicationAbility to be detail orientedAbility to work independently or in a team
