LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (EO/IR 2025-22291):

 

Bowhead seeks a Logistics Management Specialist to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Crane Division (NSWC-Crane).  The Logistics Management Specialist will Provide programmatic and Life Cycle Logistics support for current Electro-Optic Infrared (EO/IR) projects managed by the Electro-Optic Technology Division (EOTD) including programmatic services, procurement documentation development, budget formulation, financial execution and tracking, and technical writing. Contractor shall provide project management support including, but not limited to, the following: coordination of project operations including management of records, schedules, and correspondence; analytical support; deliverables tracking; task management; and support the development of milestones and objectives for current projects.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include: 

 

Provide non-personal services support for the Electro-Optic Infrared (EO/IR) projects managed by the Electro-Optic Technology Division (EOTD).Provide administrative, logistics and data entry support including, but not limited to, receiving/issuing material within JXQ spaces.Assist with inventory management of the shipping and receiving areas within JXQ. This shall include updating Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM), Shop Workload Management System (SWMS), and other JXQ data management tools to ensure material is properly tracked and dispositioned at any point throughout the process.Track material usage and set re-order levels based on input from lab leadership.

Assist project representatives to ensure all material is dispositioned properly and all pertinent electronic systems are updated.

Prepare documentation required to comply with Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) requirements in accordance with current Navy and local policy ensuring material received through external or internal sources are placed on record and upon completion of work appropriate documentation is prepared or processed in accordance with current Navy and local policy to remove assets from record.Conduct required research and prepare documentation ensuring new material being procured or received has been cataloged or Unique Material Number (UMM) required to comply with ERP and OM&S requirements in accordance with current Navy and local policy.Responsible for transactions required through the Navy Enterprise Resource Program (Navy ERP) and Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) to include; shipping and receiving documentation, preparing and tracking Material Movement Documents (DD-1149’s, DD-1348’s and locally required forms) to receive material in from warehouses or place material on record.Provides supply support within the total product life cycle to include support to all Electro Optic Technology Division branches and projects for the disposal of excess government, military property, and already disassembled systems through applicable disposal services, including Defense Logistics Agency disposition services. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelors' Degree with one (1) to five (5) years of experience

Experience in DOD Logistics, Acquisition and Program Support

Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contactsStrong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

 

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
