3D Systems seeks a motivated and enthusiastic production planner. This planner will need to have experience managing production schedules and plans and coordinate the flow of work according to daily and weekly production schedules. This employee will execute all production planning activities, inventory control, and related issues such as on-time delivery.

3D Systems seeks a motivated and enthusiastic production planner. This planner will need to have experience managing production schedules and plans and coordinate the flow of work according to daily and weekly production schedules. This employee will execute all production planning activities, inventory control, and related issues such as on-time delivery.

What We Are Looking For

Reverse Logistics

Maintain, and review the global reverse logistics process to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost.

Monitor shipment transit times, initiate root cause and corrective actions when deviations are noted.

Route all reverse shipments with approved carriers to ensure lowest cost pricing and agreed upon service levels

Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.

Support tender activities as it relates to reverse logistics.

Issue call tags with Small Parcel Providers for product returns.

Prepare Manufacturing Affidavits and provide related Information for U.S. Customs to meet Chapter 98 requirements.

Audit freight invoices – if not handled by our freight payment provider.

Maintain Proof of Delivery (POD) files and import documentation per customs requirements.

Trade Show Logistics

Liaise with the Sales & Marketing team in coordinating shipments to Domestic & International Trade Shows.

Negotiate Transportation pricing with LSPs (Logistics Service Providers) for optimal cost and delivery performance.

Trace & expedites shipments to ensure on-time delivery in meeting Trade Show receiving deadlines.

When necessary, attend larger tradeshows to provide direction to Exhibit Workers in meeting shipping deadlines.

Logistics Quality

Be a leader in pursuit of Logistics Quality.

Document SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Report).

File Freight Claims for Loss & Damage with Logistics Service Providers.

Use Trackvia & Agile to document Non-Quality - Document Issues, Root Causes, & Countermeasures

Lead the "Quality Circle" meeting for the Logistics Team.

Present Quality data to carriers during the Quarterly business Reviews (QBRs).

Education and Training\:

4 Year College Degree Required;

(in Transportation or Logistics preferred);

Experience

At least 2-4 yrs. of experience in Logistics or Transportation. Reverse Logistics & Trade Show experience a plus.

Familiarity with Transportation Claims Processes, Statute of Limitations preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Microsoft Office a must.

Oracle ERP experience desired.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational.

Ability to multitask and be a self-starter.

Negotiation skills a plus.
