The Logistics Analyst is responsible for utilizing data analytics tools and methods to build business intelligence, analyze & evaluate operational and financial trends, and develop predictive models to generate actionable insights that support transportation, distribution, service, corporate budgeting, and expense objectives. This position will conduct advanced statistical analysis to determine trends and utilize visualization tools to communicate the story. Finally, the Logistics Analyst is responsible for leading financial close efforts for logistics and creating annual logistics budgets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Evaluate the impact of economic changes on logistics performance and overall company margins, profits, or expenses. This is done by gathering data from warehouse, labor, transportation, and ERP systems and business intelligence tools. Create and deploy predictive models to enhance forecasting across the supply chain Provide information and data, in well thought out and effectively presented formats, using decision tools such as statistical modeling & algorithms, dashboards, spreadsheets, databases, statistical tools, etc., for use in decision processes Develop, review, support decision making, and implement any changes or improvements made to logistics processes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. This includes development of operating standards and measurement and evaluation of performance against those standards. Prepare and develop the annual logistics operational and capital budgets, and track progress of company performance against that budget during the operating year. Configure and design logistics systems. Analyze P&L’s, prepare variance daily, weekly, and annual reporting on performance.Required Qualifications
Experience: 2-5 years’ experience within a supply chain function preferably in a retail environment; experience in data mining, statistical analysis, auditing, and/or forecasting.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, supply chain/logistics, finance or related field; any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
