Logistics Analyst

Job Overview

Weatherford is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Analyst to join our dynamic team in the Oil & Energy industry. This pivotal role is responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing freight transportation plans to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including demand forecasting, logistics, sourcing, transportation, and operations, to align freight plans with broader business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Track, monitor, and maintain supply chain performance to ensure contractual terms are met Review, analyze, and understand customer requirements to create freight plans aligned with expectations Analyze potential transportation solutions and identify suitable carriers for each scenario Ensure proper documentation of all freight activities and maintain comprehensive records Stay updated on market movements, cost-saving opportunities, industry regulations, and news Create reports, metrics, and presentations for internal stakeholders Analyze current processes and suggest improvements to increase effectiveness Manage projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines Implement and track defined KPIs to measure end-to-end process performance Conduct cost analysis and propose optimization strategies for cost-benefit and service delivery Review contracted and market rates to maintain market intelligence Implement and continuously improve import/export processes to enhance service levels Manage custom brokers and forwarding agents, ensuring compliance with contracts

Skills:

Experience in Inventory/Forecasting Proficiency with Power BI Oil/gas industry experience Knowledge of OTM (Oracle Transportation Management) Experience with freight planning tools Freight forwarding experience

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field is required. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience working within a supply chain environment Proven experience within a Supply Chain Control Tower Proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases Proficiency with JDE or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system Knowledge of process improvement tools and techniques Advanced Excel skills (big data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.
