The Danfoss Power Solutions II – Van Wert facility is seeking a Logistics Analyst to join the Supply Chain Solutions Team The position will lead implementation and review of current and future Danfoss Standard Logistics processes. The position will be responsible for the compliance of all standard domestic shipping, import and export compliance processes.
Job ResponsibilitiesReview, assist, implement all shipping and receiving processes and changes to current processes Manage and review all Dedicated Fleet processes that are directly correlated to the Van Wert facility. Analyze and review all routes for opportunities for cost effective improvements. Communicate with Corporate logistics and carrier routing changes and implement appropriately. Communicate internally with all parties, monitor and review for compliance. Provide appropriate information to assist in the determination of best mode of shipment for ad hoc premium freight requests. Create, track, trace and communicate information regarding each shipment. Communicate with core carriers (International forwarders, truckload and LTL) requests for shipments and assisting in any problem resolution. Work with Corporate Customs Brokers to assist in customs clearance issues, ADD/CVD requests, Country of Origin determination, HTS/EAR classifications. Utilize CASS and OBIEE for creating ad hoc reports Insure compliance to all Corporate Logistics initiatives. Communicate opportunities for improvement opportunities with local service providers. Point of direct communication with all carriers for service performance issues Communicate with all necessary internal and external parties any daily constraints to shipping or receiving processes. Work with Distribution Center to assist in level-loading of production and shipping flow. Manage all company equipment related to transportation including review and processing of associated invoices Understanding of DOT requires and insuring plant level compliance. Background & Skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years Transportation / Manufacturing experience Excellent communications skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while performing multiple skills Ability to be a change-management advocate Ability to provide guidance and problem resolution to non-direct personnel Must be able to work in the US, without sponsorship, both now and in the future.Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/Transportation Management, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration from an accredited university Export shipping experience
