Logistics Analyst
Job Title: Logistics Analyst Job Description Support the Global Logistics & Freight Manager in driving global efforts to standardize and increase efficiencies in logistics activities across all regions for all product lines and business interests. Manage the SAP Warehouse Management (WMS) system to optimize its use across Milwaukee area warehouses, receiving docks, and transportation to support World Class objectives. Enhance product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory. Create and review procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize costs. Responsibilities + Manage the SAP Warehouse Management (WMS) system to utilize the software effectively across warehouses, receiving docks, and transportation. + Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects (e.g. warehouse-slotting, route planning) + Oversee inventory procedures + Develop requirements and standards (e.g. packaging, procurement, delivery) + Discover the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules + Help foster trusting relationships with vendors and team members + Evaluate vendor operations (e.g. freight forwarders) according to quality standards + Collaborate with IT professionals to implement effective systems + Track KPIs and report on supply chain performance Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Operations or Logistics + Three or more years of progressively complex materials management experience, preferably in logistics + Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP - 60%) including Warehouse Management, Materials Management, Customer Service, Sales and Distribution, Accounting, etc. + Experience with logistics support analysis, inventory management, and SAP Warehouse Management System (WMS) + Demonstrated knowledge and application of process improvement tools such as Lean, QRM, Six Sigma, or CPI + Thorough understanding and experience in bills of materials, routings, blueprint reading, inventory control, and order processing + Proficiency in PC software including Lotus Notes, VIP, Bar Coding, RF, and Microsoft Applications + Advanced proficiency in Excel, including V-Lookups, trend analysis, functions, etc. Additional Skills & Qualifications + APICS certification desired + Membership in relevant professional organizations a plus + Experience with SAP R3P or SAP EWM would be a bonus Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
