Role
As a Logistics Analyst, you will control logistics operations and ensure prompt delivery of goods, cost control, and effective stakeholder communication to exceed customer expectations. The role will also support operations and management control by focusing on business/data analytics, engaging in projects designed to improve and advance systems infrastructure, tools and processes.
Responsibilities:
Maintains database of logistic information for inbound deliveries with a commitment to accuracy and timely follow-up. Ensures quality of information across data platforms. Execute Projects rooted in business/data analytics to advance systems infrastructure, tools and processes in support of corporate objectives. Improve tools and processes to better track, control and evaluate daily operations. Manage daily shipment activities of assigned portfolio, resolving issues to ensure efficient logistics chain and on-time delivery of materials. Coordinate logistics with external vendors and actively communicate shipping status with internal teams including: Yards, Supply Planning, Product Warehouse, and Commercial Sales. Troubleshoot and expedite logistics processes experiencing delays/problems to ensure timely delivery of materials to and within Canada. Assist in shipment activities preparing the Just in Time schedule and ensuring that user requirements are achieved. Analyze freight variations, in-transit stock, lay-can, fixed and variable cost deviations. Ensure the flow of critical documentation at each stage within the supply chain. Evaluate and define import/export functions as required, ensuring compliance. Guarantees customer satisfaction. Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility. Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of professional experience in a related role Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Analytics, Computer Programming, or Engineering is preferred Previous experience in logistics, data/business analytics, and/or project management will be considered as strong asset Previous SAP experience will be considered an asset Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Access and other Microsoft Office applications
