The Expeditors International Columbus, OH branch is in immediate need of a Logistics and Supply Chain coordinator with a record of providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of ensuring timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service to our wide array of existing customers in the market. The candidate should be enthusiastic and passionate about customer interaction as well as possess the ability to coordinate with other departments in the branch to respond timely and effectively to growing customer needs.
Job DescriptionEnsure smooth and timely freight process flow meeting customer expectationsEnsure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system, per Operational Performance Standards (OPS)Track and Trace Shipment Files dailyScan and validate documentsEnsure documents are received and processed timely to keep cargo movingEnsure accurate and timely client and vendor billing, within Expeditors and customer requirementsInteract with our customers in arranging their domestic or international shipments, meeting customer service standards and performance measurementsCommunicate with service providers regularly to ensure timely pickup and delivery of shipmentsUnderstand departmental process flows, and contribute to best practice opportunities to improve operational efficiency and productivityEnsure all customers standard operating procedures in place and updated in the DLSOPs. Review and update regularlyMeet KPI standards in accordance with the Company’s proceduresTimely responses to emails and voicemails to exceed customer expectations and satisfactionEscalation of problems to Management when necessaryQualificationsMinimum High School diploma required. Bachelors Degree preferred.6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceUnderstanding of logistics and supply chain related topics and trendsEffective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive resultsPro-active, strong organizational skillsProficient computer skills (Excel, Word)Hazardous Materials certification (preferred but not required)Fluent in EnglishExcellent communication and problem solving skillsAbility to work well and excel in a fast-paced environmentAdditional InformationPersonal Development
