Motrex is seeking a supply chain professional to support the planning and execution of its inbound, intercompany, international and customer freight activity. This position will drive value by optimizing transportation and distribution cost. The ideal candidate will use sound economic thinking and have a strong customer (internal & external) focus.

Responsibilities Leverages the Transportation Management System (TMS) and associated routing guide as tools to balance cost and service.Coordinate and develop international platform.Actively search for ways to further decrease transportation cost through consolidation, equipment utilization, & mode optimization.Utilizes advanced analytics to support recommendations on efficiency and/or corrective solutions.Work with Customer Service, Supplier/Vendor Mgmt, DC Operations and the carriers to ensure effective communication throughout the delivery cycle.Perform ad hoc analysis around service model strategy and/or network design as needed.Provide root cause analysis on vital metrics(KPI) trends in areas such as service and cost.Lead transportation projects that drive value for the business.Additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and company goals.  Qualifications

Education, Experience, Certifications:

Bachelor's degree related field (Logistics and Transportation, Supply Chain, etc) from four-year College or university preferred5-7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:

Must have TMS experience (BluJay/E2Open preferred)Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with teams inside and outside of transportationTakes initiative and has an innovative approach to operational managementAbility to lead and sell change within an organizationMicrosoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)Knowledge of JDE (Oracle) desired

Environment & Physical Demands:

This role requires you to be on site in our headquarters office.Ability to sit at a desk, stand, and walk as needed.Travel as required to meet business needs.
