As a Third Party Logistics (3PL) Logistics Associate, you will play a critical role in driving efficient and reliable inbound and outbound operations in support of the Warehouse Manager at the distribution site in Reno, NV. You will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and improving various aspects of warehouse performance to ensure accurately and on-time performance. The Logistics Associate is responsible for the generation, analysis and reporting of key performance metrics. This role will be the backup for the Warehouse Manager at the finished goods warehouse. This is a high impact role that will have a direct impact on customer experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Analyzes, support and ensure timely deliveries for all inbound and outbound operations with 3PL.
Attend quarterly business reviews with 3PL clients.
Communicate and collaborate with 3PLs
Participate in Quarter end and year end warehouse operations planning events.
Review and act on reports and errors around receiving, shipping and inventory control.
Enter and track metrics for 3PL Manager.
Interface and support all value-added services function for the DC operation.
Create and gather international paperwork and documentation to support shipping needs, EEI filings.
Support inbound truck scheduling and planning for the site on behalf of Integra.
Manage special orders and after-hours, urgent shipping requirements as needed (Work off hours at times as needed.) Holiday support as needed.
Facilitate & support physical inventory including transactions and planning
Create or obtain and enter requisitions for PO’s
Review invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Support continuous improvement of material handling functions with 3PL
Set up meetings and meet with leaders to align 3PL operation with Integra needs and goals
Other duties as required
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for his position.
Bachelor's degree with 0-2+ years of experience or equivalent experience
High school diploma or GED required
Prefer a minimum of 2 years working in distribution and logistics as lead, assistant manager, supervisor or coordinator level type work.
Data driven, experience and demonstrated experience in generating, analyzing and communicating data and key metrics
Strong ability to multitask in very fast paced environment.
Familiarity with FDA regulated medical devices distribution is plus.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably with Oracle, SAP, or Red Prairie is preferred.
Knowledge of standard EDI 944,945 and 947 type transactions is preferred.
Must be familiar in inventory control functions with demonstrated organizational skills.
Familiar and have an understanding of FDA requirements and product tracking is a plus.
Proficient at Excel and Outlook
Excellent communication skills using both verbal and written methods.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Ability to utilize a computer, telephone, fax and copy machine as well as other general office equipment. Strong computer skills are required.
