Job Summary
Oversee the daily logistical operations of the organization, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution. Manage warehousing for goods and review inventory to ensure proper product adjustments. Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments based on internal or external customer requirements. Serve as the point of contact between customers, freight carriers, and the shipping department. Ensure timely delivery of goods by investigating and resolving any delays or detention issues. Support cost control efforts by evaluating shipments, consolidating loads, and selecting the most cost-effective shipping methods in accordance with Department of Defense guidelines.
Roles and Responsibilities
Maintain records related to receipts, movements, and kitting of materials, ensuring accuracy in material quantity updates based on usage.Oversee the distribution of materials upon arrival and ensure the accuracy of prepared material kits.Establish and communicate completion dates for deliverable kits to production planners and address part shortages that may affect timely kit issuance.Inspect products for quality and quantity before kit builds to ensure accuracy with material records.Support the Material Stockroom with monthly cycle counts, annual inventories, and material receipt processes as required.Contribute to customer satisfaction by meeting schedules, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and participating in Voice of the Customer (VOC) solicitations.Basic Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen.HS Diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of related work experience.Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Experienced with SAP, including Material Movement Transactions.Familiar with product receipts, inductions, and related SAP transaction codes for material receipts, kitting pulls, inspection notifications, and material issuance.KBR Benefits
