Are you a recent graduate with a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field? Liebherr Canada is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team on a 12 month contract with potential to permanent employment. Your role will be key in ensuring timely deliveries and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective logistics coordination. This role offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in supply chain operations while working with a global leader in heavy equipment!
Responsiblities Supply Chain Coordination: Manage end-to-end logistics operations, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to meet customer demands efficiently. Customs and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all customs and regulatory requirements for heavy equipment and spare parts, including proper documentation and import/export procedures. Transportation Management: Collaborate with carriers and freight forwarders to arrange cost-effective and timely transportation of heavy equipment and spare parts. Monitor shipment schedules and track deliveries. Cost Control: Identify cost-saving opportunities within the logistics process and implement strategies to reduce expenses without compromising quality and service. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity and safety of heavy equipment and spare parts during transit and storage. Risk Management: Assess potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions in the supply chain, such as weather-related delays or transportation issues. Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including shipping documents, invoices, and inventory reports. Ensure compliance with record-keeping regulations. Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and customer service, to provide accurate information and support the overall business objectives. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction. Health and Safety: Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations and ensuring that logistics activities are conducted safely. Competencies Supply Chain Diploma or Degree Required – Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Solid understanding of Customs & Regulatory Compliance – Knowledge of import/export documentation and procedures. Strong Organization & Coordination Skills – Ability to track deliveries and manage carrier relationships. Strong Analytical & Cost Optimization Skills – Identifying cost-saving opportunities while ensuring efficiency. Attention to Detail & Accuracy – Maintaining shipping records, compliance reports, and inventory data. Effective Communication & Collaboration – Working with internal teams, suppliers, and freight partners. Commitment to Health & Safety – Awareness of safety regulations in logistics operations.
