Logistics Coordinator

The main role of the Logistics Coordinator is to ensure that the respective logistics
service providers (LSP) are functioning at their most efficient and consistent levels on
a daily basis. They are tasked with ensuring that the best-in-class warehouse and
transport management operations are consistent with the BLG objectives.


For Inbound Logistics Coordinators, the job requires them to have a full
understanding of the raw material and packaging material requirements, including
the timely and accurate receiving of materials from suppliers and issuance of
materials to production. They are required to ensure that the LSP provide the
necessary transport requirements when necessary.

 

Primary Functions: For the Inbound Logistics Coordinator Ensures the timely and accurate physical and system receipt (GR transactions) of all raw and packaging material deliveries to the from both imported and local suppliers, and finished goods from various sources, including palletizing, tagging and put away by the Logistics Service Provider (LSP). This task is done by requiring the LSP to submit a report that shows the status of Daily Delivery schedule provided by the material planners and indicating status of each supplier, and the SAP GR reference if receiving is done.

 

Ensures the collection of material samples from deliveries, where required or as dictated by the plant’s Quality Assurance guidelines and policies, and the timely submission of such to the QA team by the LSP. This is done by ensuring that each delivery has a COA (Certificate of Analysis) from the supplier in order for QA to conduct sampling.

 

 

Coordinates with the Supply Planning Team on production schedules and works with the LSP to ensure the timely issuance and transfer of all required raw and packaging materials from the plant and external warehouses to the production team.

 

Works with the LSP and the Magnolia Inventory Management team to ensure the maintenance of accurate inventory records for all raw and packaging materials as well as all finished goods while undergoing incubation.

 

 

Works with the Plant’s QA team to ensure the timely quality release of all raw and packaging materials.       Other Functions Close coordination with Supply Chain Planners to ensure weekly plans are supportable

 

Close coordination with Export Group and LSP's Export Team to ensure that orders are received, prepared correctly and in accordance with the export checklist

 

Assists LSP for reversal requests processing and approval by the Plant Logistics Manager

 

Coordinates with QA Team for materials needing immediate disposition

 

Verify warehouse documents such as Truck Inspection Checklist; inform LSP for any deviation on standard, if there's any.

 

Consolidates and Validates Warehouse and Transport billings and submits monthly Accruals for Logistics

 

Monitors and reports daily Service Levels and addresses reasons for un-serves and backlogs

 

Works with QA and LSP to ensures compliance to GWP/GDP and Food Safety Compliance

 

Facilitates PR requests through the required system

 

Performs other tasks that may be deemed necessary by the Plant Logistics Manager.
