Job Description Summary: MasTec, one of the largest privately held international utility contracting firms, is seeking a talented individual to join the Procurement group in Major Projects. This role involves overseeing inventories, tool acquisition, and the coordination of material and equipment movements to various operating groups. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction and/or warehousing, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be adept at developing ideas for increased efficiency. This position requires interaction with geographically dispersed, semi-autonomous groups throughout the U.S. Responsibilities Inventory Procurement and Movement: Effectively and efficiently procure and move necessary tools to operations groups to meet the demands of various projects at multiple locations (50%). Inventory Management: Establish methodologies for tracking and maintaining minimum inventory limits for key tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to prevent shortfalls or stockouts (20%). Vendor Coordination: Work closely with Procurement and Accounts Payable departments to ensure vendors meet established delivery terms and conditions (10%). Process Development: Build processes for tools and equipment that follow Plan, Do, Check, Act elements and A3 Thinking (5%). Organized Inventories: Promote and facilitate an organized and efficient approach to managing inventories of tools and PPE (10%). Continuous Improvement: Lead by example, continuously seeking to improve processes, promote the benefits of Tool Department process improvements, and capture results achieved (5%). Qualifications Education and Work Experience: Work experience in construction, warehouse management, and/or purchasing/logistics environment is preferred. 2-year Associate degree preferred. Knowledge of safety working programs (OSHA or equivalent) or relevant work experience/certifications is a plus. Proven track record in goal setting, problem-solving, and leading change is required. Skills & Abilities: Computer Skills: Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required. Procore and Power360 a plus Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage and organize inventory and tools. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail in inventory management and process development. Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Pay Range: $50,000 to $90,000
