Logistics Coordinator

Coordinates work schedules for all Logistical Support Services division personnel. Assist in the development and maintenance of the inventory database. Responsible for distribution and oversight of supplies necessary for employees to effectively perform their daily tasks, to include vehicle maintenance. Assists with the day to day management of the Security Access Control System. Works independently and communicates effectively with peers. Acts a liaison to other departments and customers (in absence of supervision) regarding complaints, issues and concerns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

Prepares work schedules for all Logistical Support Services division personnel. Approves and documents all changes related to employee schedules as necessary in accordance with established department policies and procedures.

Coordinates with leadership team to accommodate new hire(s) training orientation schedules. Assists with training when applicable.

Acts as a resource for staff with questions related to API Time and Attendance, When to Work, Fleetio software processes and procedures.

Takes corrective action when necessary to avoid disruption in service. Alerts management of any conflicts that may negatively impact department operations.

Assists in the development and maintenance of inventory database for all supplies necessary for employees to effectively and efficiently perform their daily assignments.

Tracks supply usage to ensure employees are adhering to established policies and procedures.

Assists in the development of standard operating procedures as well as assists management in the training process in the area of logistics.

Aids management with preparing various qualitative and quantitative reports and records as it relates to employee work schedules and supply management.

Assists the Manager with day to day duties and responsibilities of the Security Access Control System to include:

The management and distribution of all employee and visitor identification badges.

Coordination with Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) Security to ensure the proper exchange of information as it relates to the API Time & Attendance System.

Development and implementation of the security program as it relates to badge management to educate and heighten employee awareness.

Acts as a liaison between HNL and LVHN for network wide ID badge access initiatives.

Provides factual, objective documentation to management pertaining to deviations from established policies and procedures.

Acts as a liaison to other departments and customers (in absence of supervision) regarding complaints, issues or concerns.

Provides backup support for dispatch operations when needed.

Works on a flexible open availability schedule as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

High school graduate or equivalent required. Minimum 3 years experience in courier/logistical support operations.

Language Ability:

Must demonstrate the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must demonstrate the ability to support others in a stressful, changing environment. Must possess and demonstrate excellent customer service skills and constant focus and attention to providing quality service. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.


Math Ability:

Must possess and show excellent math skills.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

Ability to use Microsoft Office products and various other computer software products.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver’s license from issuing state of residency.
