Position Overview:

The purpose of this position is to plan and schedule completed hardware customer order lines through the process steps from final witness and customer approvals to timely collection and or shipment to destination.  This role will require hands on interaction with multiple departments, customers, on-site inspectors and 3rd party logistics firms with a heavy emphasis on international goods exporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with internal departments and staff post hardware final inspection to prioritize activities in accordance with the customer order contractual delivery date.  Includes but not limited to: Customer Product Assurance team, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Shipping Staff, Operations Leadership

Review customer orders to ensure all logistics related requirements are met as specified across potentially multiple documents attached to the purchase order.

Ensure the latest ship to addresses are maintained accurately in the system and update as necessary to align historical records to physical shipment locations.

Work with customers and their on-site 3rd party inspection firms to schedule activities associated with Material Record Book reviews and approvals, Approvals to Ship, product packaging adherence, goods collection coordination with freight forwarders, etc.

Familiarity with all aspects of international shipping, primarily exporting but also a working knowledge of import rules and regulations.

Taxes/Tariffs/Duties associated with shipments.

Proper handling of situations involving programs such as Temporary Import Bonds

Work with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure shipments as needed.

Follow all regulatory guidelines for domestic and international shipments.

Develop and maintain a working relationship with freight forwarders and brokers to ensure prompt service and cooperation.

Develop and maintain an accurate record keeping system for storing and retrieval of all shipment documentation per corporate and customer policy.

Identify opportunities and implement system and process improvements as it relates to the coordination of activities from final quality assurance to the collection of goods.

Perform other duties as directed by your manager.

Education and Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in the logistics field.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or logistics and supply chain management preferred.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Intimate knowledge of domestic and international shipping.

Organization and management skills.

Adaptation and crisis management skills.

Ability to problem solve in a fast paced, production environment.

Excellent communication skills, including verbal & written communication.

Possess good project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.

Proficient in MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint.
