About our role

Due to internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity currently for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Simplot. Based in our office in Mentone. This is a permanent full-time opportunity, 37.5 hours per week. 

Working within a close-knit team, in this role you will efficiently ensure the processing of orders through our 3PL partners and coordinate transport movements of finished goods from 3PL’s / Distribution Centres to our Customers. 

Experience within the Retail transport sector will be viewed favourably as a big focus of this role is process adherence / review, high levels of direct stakeholder/relationship building and efficient movement of orders through to the ultimate Customer.   

What you will do Ensure all OH&S, COR and legislative requirements are adhered to at all times. Assist with efficient Customer responses to issues. Participate in the review process of all current SOP’s. Identify new SOP’s to be developed to improve efficiencies to deliver increased profitability through process improvement. Develop and implement change to improve process of orders and delivery of finished goods. Monitor order flows and highlight areas of improvement. Create and maintain internal/external relationships to ensure efficient and effective order processing / deliveries. Produce Operational KPI’s to support logistics with service levels of 3PL and Freight suppliers. Claim investigation understanding and POD collation. About you An excellent knowledge of supply chain in particular 3PL warehouse, transport networks, and logistics processes. Ideally experienced within the Retail transport sector. Exposure to ERP Software, particularly JDE and/or SAP.  Project management understanding and experience. Effective stakeholder management skills.  The ability to influence change and drive process improvement through collaborative team environments. Microsoft Office suite (intermediate Excel, Outlook).
