Logistics Coordinator
Position: Logistics Coordinator Department: SFE - Sales Reports to: Service Manager Location: 4433 South Drive, Houston, TX 77053 (Onsite) Join Our Team as a Logistics Coordinator Are you passionate about logistics, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment? We’re seeking a Logistics Coordinator to oversee critical shipping operations and ensure efficiency, compliance, and excellence in every task. About the Role: As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing communication, coordinating shipments, and maintaining accurate documentation. You’ll be part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering seamless logistics solutions. Key Responsibilities: + Monitor and respond to email correspondence promptly and professionally. + Process pick sheets and coordinate pickups with Package and LTL carriers. + Prepare shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments, including export compliance. + Manage and complete required export paperwork, ensuring alignment with international regulations. + Organize and archive warehouse shipment photos and all related shipping paperwork digitally. + Assign carriers for customer shipments, prioritizing speed and efficiency. + Perform additional duties as required to support the team. Education and Experience Requirements: + High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, or related field preferred. + Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, shipping coordination, or related roles. + Experience with domestic and international shipping, including export documentation and compliance, is highly desirable. + Familiarity with shipping software and carrier platforms is a plus. Skills and Competencies: + Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills with keen attention to detail. + Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and web-based tools. + Professional communication skills with a high standard of phone and email etiquette. Physical Demands: + Regularly required to talk, listen, stand, walk, crouch, bend, and use hands. + Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds (assistance available). + Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
