What You'll Be Doing

Job Scope: The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation, distribution, and inventory control activities for the organization. This role involves overseeing the movement of goods, materials, and products from suppliers to customers, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction in Pasadena, TX.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Plan, organize, and schedule inbound and outbound shipments, including freight, air, ocean, and ground transportation modes, and coordinate logistics activities, such as routing, carrier selection, and load optimization, to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.

Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders to arrange transportation, shipping, and delivery of raw materials, components, finished goods, and equipment to production facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, and customers' sites.

Monitor inventory levels, stock availability, and order fulfillment processes, and analyze demand forecasts, production schedules, and sales orders to ensure adequate supply chain visibility, accuracy, and responsiveness to customer demand and market trends.

Track shipment status, transit times, and delivery performance, and communicate updates, delays, or issues to internal stakeholders, customers, and carriers to manage expectations, resolve discrepancies, and mitigate risks.

Maintain records and documentation.

Lead assigned portion of outage scope through planning and construction

Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution.

Experience managing logistics vendors including HW/FW, Laborers, Sanitation, Waste, Fuel Train others regarding safe forklift operations including rough terrain and telehandlers

Collaborate with cross-functional teams ensuring service needs are fully covered: Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Operations, Service Engineering.

Uphold and communicate high standards of housekeeping in assigned areas and on all job sites.

Experience developing and managing an outage plot plan

May be required to perform duties outside of the above responsibilities from time to time, as needed.

Ideal Background

Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations. Experience in industrial outages as a Logistics Coordinator/Planner preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience developing and managing an outage plot plan

Proven track record of success in coordinating complex logistics activities, managing multiple projects, and achieving performance targets.

Strong organizational, interpersonal and planning skills. Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

Prior experience with reading and understanding contracts and contractual requirements.

Proficiency in logistics software, transportation management systems (TMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft suite, OneNote, SAP, and My Buyer.

Knowledge of international trade, customs regulations, import/export compliance, INCO terms, INCO shipping, and documentation requirements for cross-border shipments and global logistics operations

Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and juggle ever-changing priorities and deadlines.

Willing to work a wide variety of scheduled days and hours, following strict fatigue management guidelines.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders

Works professionally and harmoniously with co-workers, supervisors, management, support personnel, program participants, and business-related persons.

Utilizes positive and constructive attitude toward resolution of problems and conflicts.

Accepts direction, criticism, and supervision.

Able to achieve various State mandated certifications, TWIC, and other requirements as may be deemed necessary.

Physical Requirements:

Travel may be required as much as 25-45% depending on projects 

Ability to lift and carry in excess of 25 lbs.

Work requires working from heights, climbing fixed ladders, and stairs, etc.
