Role and Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibility: 

Lead the implementation project of the Parts Warehouse.Manage 3PL for the on-time parts receipt of all goods Inbound and Outbound with expected TAT in DC.Collaborate with Service Parts Planning operations and Customer Service to ensure an efficient order drop and flow through the DC on a daily basis.Develop and maintain systematic reports to report daily productivity, throughput and DC departmental costs (KPI): Understand processes such as import customs clearance, unloading, storage (e.g. storage volume rate), delivery (e.g. mixing, vehicle volume rate), return, inventory accuracy, services (e.g. delayed delivery, damage, and missing), and measure them into data, manage and evaluate them. Find and disseminate internal and external best practices and actively design and implement the optimal solution.Support 3PL Operation Manager on key KPI and performance activities and requests.
Manage direct reports and 3PL location managers.Outbound shipping and delivery to customer distribution or retail centers.To oversee and manage all the invoices of transportation and warehouse, daily/weekly/MonthlyOperational efficiency management: Maintains optimization of warehouse operation considering the storage efficiency and labor operation efficiency of each location. Key Liaison between Samsung and 3PL on coordinating special requests and projects. Works closely with 3PL to resolve issues. Diligently works on Process Improvements, Bin Utilization.Inventory planning and monitoring Establish and perform a plan from storing inventory, transporting, packaging to Pick/Pack stages. Execute inspection of whole inventory on a quarterly basis, and take a prompt action when mismatch is identified.Communicate with SDSA Parts team and manage the team for the overall daily operations or/and the specific projectsManage and update all the 3PL contracts of WHs and TransportationSchedule and vendors management of WH’s Open/Close/MovingAll other duties as assigned.

Additional Job scope:

Investigating to resolution all inventory discrepancies between WMS & GMP systems.SAP WMQ/WMS New process Testing, Training & Implementation.Works on assignments, including complex assignments, requiring considerable judgment and initiative, manage Bi-Annual Physical Inventory, Cycle Count Confirmations.Grasp where the direct cost is being wasted by calculating the logistics expenses and formulate and calculate areas for logistics cost savings.Understand the regional logistics industry situation, and understand and perform overall procedures such as selecting the right vendor, preparing RFP (Request for Proposal), joint presentation, receiving and reviewing proposals, evaluating each vendor and propose decisions, and implementing the terms and conditions and etc.Monitors D/O (Delivery order), shipment history, and manages the information of S/N (Shipping notification).Establish a plan to respond to special occasions during operation such as high season, mismatch between system and inventory and etc.Recover and respond immediately to emergency situations such as natural disasters, man-made disasters, changes in the external environment, violation of related laws, IT system power down and etc.Simultaneously manage projects including (Rework, Various Special Requests from customers and partners).Generate weekly KPI and various reports, QBR, and ADHOC reporting.Confirms the billing by checking and comparing the actual delivery documents and delivery processing in system.High level of accuracy and efficiency. Detail Oriented. Works on problems of limited and routine scope where limited analysis of data requires identification of predetermined solutions.

Working Environment and Physical Demands: 

Work hour will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pmMust be able to work after-hours and weekends as neededMay be required to travel in the United States or/and Canada.Work places:  At Office or/and Warehouse

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

Bachelor’s or equivalent degree or experience.The ability to read, prepare, interpret, and understand product shipment information from various order and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and thorough preparation of transportation documents.Works on problems of limited and routine scope where limited analysis of data requires identification of predetermined solutions.Exercises judgment within defined practices and policies in selection of methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.Typically has general knowledge of logistics operations related to employee’s specific area of work, and limited knowledge of overall logistics operations.Is able to identify standard problems within the delivery cycle and makes recommendations to change either delivery methods or dates, and authorize standard returns or claims to ensure customer satisfaction.

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in California, is expected to be between $78,500 and $81,500.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
