LOGISTICS COORDINATOR/OPERATOR

Weatherford have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Coordinator/Operator to join the team in East Leake, Loughborough. The Logistics Coordinator/Operator will facilitate the timely movement of imported and exported tools, spares and associated goods and services, ensuring all associated documentation is in line with the works orders, sales orders and invoices received and follows HMRC and Weatherford customs requirements and guidelines.
To adapt workflow to suit the changing global asset requirements and priorities of the business. To operate within a team ethos, sharing of duties, responsibilities and knowledge within the logistics team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Liaising with the company approved Freight Agents, with regard to export consignments, booking freight and collections and notifying them of any shipments containing Import Process Relief (IPR) and hazardous goods. Maintain a pro-active approach with customers/receiving centres in regard to following up shipment approval requests. Maintain a pro-active approach with our clearing agent regarding incoming import consignments, ensuring provided clearance information includes, correct import method, tariff numbers, VAT number, deferment account number, customs procedure code, IPR authority (if required) and any other information as defined by HMRC and company customs requirements. Receiving notification of import shipments from other Weatherford facilities or 3rd party suppliers and liaise with our nominated clearing agent, establishing the import method and delivery and recording and referencing the details on the import record. Liaising with external packaging companies with regards crating/packing requirements, ensuring their offerings meet company requirements. To provide regular monthly metrics, including returns to Weatherford UK Customs departments and HMRC as required. Carrying out with the physical packing of product and equipment to expedite the smooth transition of goods to destination. Participating in team meetings and briefings, and to advise of any issues likely to impact on the shipment of goods so that they can be planned for and overcome, and to actively participate in a continuous improvement culture within the logistics team environment. To join in overall company meetings and undertake any necessary training as required to carry out the role. To ensure good housekeeping is maintained. To carry out any other duties as reasonably required by the Logistics Supervisor.Requirements:
2-5+ years of logistics experience. Sound understanding of international imports and exports. Ability to comprehend critical documents and to learn quickly. Ability to multi-task and adapt easily to an ever-changing work environment. Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office. Good verbal and written communication skills with professional phone skills. Good organizational skills. Detail oriented. Excellent English language skills – spoken and written. Valid Counterbalance Fork-lift Truck License (desirable but training will be given if not already achieved). Full, clean, manual, driving licence. Flexibility to work additional hours if required. Team player with a good work ethic. Knowledge of IATA Safe Transport of Radioactive Materials by Air (desirable but not essential).
