PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administrative: Establish and maintain a professional work environment. Promptly answer the telephone; distribute incoming and outgoing mail; order office supplies and set up and manage FedEx/UPS shipments; type correspondence reports and other documents as needed to support site activities. Greet/treat all visitors, new hires, and employees in a positive and professional manner. Ability to effectively and with empathy communicate with all levels of craft and management. Assist corporate in the maintenance of company assets. May prepare various daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and job-to-date reports Human Resources: Cooperate with Site Supervision to complete and submit employee documents (W4, I-9, health questionnaires, Training programs, address change, separation of employment, rehire/transfer form, application, EEO form, benefit, and insurance information, CDL, HAZMAT, etc.); schedule employee drug screening and CDL physical exams; assure employee orientation packets, Training programs, cooperate with EEO monitoring and audits; return all Human Resource materials to Denver at the end of the project. Payroll: Verify accuracy of foremen’s reports and other data required for payroll processing. Operations: Assist Site Supervision in establishing utilities and mail service; perform routine office maintenance (cleaning, making coffee, servicing office machines); prepare materials and documents for weekly site management meeting and other meetings as directed by the Site Manager; and run errands as needed. Safety: Communicate location and access of emergency room and clinic, and post emergency services and telephone numbers as require. Assist Safety Manager as needed. Schedule and prepare for meetings involving owners and other local groups.

 

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED: One-year experience in administration, or equivalent combination of training and/or experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to type 40-45 wpm required. Ability to work independently. Proficiency in Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Payroll system experience.

SAFETY/DRESS REQUIREMENTS:

Sleeves always worn (no muscle shirts or tank tops). No ripped/cut jeans. Steel or Composite toe boots. Other safety equipment will be provided as necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy. Must be able to pass pre-employment physical examination, as required by the company.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Location: industrial construction sites, office, and/or fabrication shop. Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: Uneven ground level. Obstructed pathways. Work performed at low and/or high elevations. Work performed in confined areas. Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: Predominately outdoor climate. May be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather. Excessive humidity, rain, etc. Various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc. Potential exposure to chemical substances.
