TalentWorld is recruiting a Logistics Dispatcher in Winnipeg, Manitoba for one of our clients.
Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate drivers and vehicles for timely pickups and deliveries. Monitor driver progress using GPS and dispatch software. Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and team members. Resolve issues like delays, route changes, or breakdowns in real-time. Optimize routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and driver logs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries. Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (preferred). Transportation/Logistics Certification (e.g., CLP) is a plus. Proficiency in dispatch software (e.g., Truckstop, DAT, Motive). Experience with fleet management tools (e.g., Geotab, Samsara). Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). 2-5 years in dispatching, logistics, or a related field. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and stay organized.
