Logistics Generalist
Logistics Generalists support supply chain purchasing and distribution process. They ensure proper the inventory of products stored within the warehouse(s). Logistics Generalists collaborate closely with product suppliers and clients to build strong and long-lasting relationships.
This is a permanent position based out of either the Lethbridge/Coaldale, Alberta or Cranbrook, British Columbia site.
What you will do:
Lead and ensure delivery and stock accuracy, as well as ensure the highest quality and accurate and timely delivery of product to ensure highest Customer Experience possible. Support daily warehouse activities including quality assurance, space management, logistics, floor productivity. Support the management of warehouse inventory and ensure data integrity. Support supply chain optimization. Monitor and communicate on budgets, keeping up-to-date on shipping carriers, routes and rates. Select carriers for transportation and negotiate rates and contracts with carriers. Respond to and resolve complaints and problems.
Who you are:
This is a senior position requiring either a Bachelor’s degree in a preferred discipline of either Business, Engineering, Agriculture, Supply Chain, Manufacturing + at least 4 years of relevant experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED + at least 7 years of relevant experience Excellent English written and verbal communication skills Experience working with vendors Excellent problem-solving skills Good time management skills Experience working with electronic data and WMS Hold a valid driver’s license in good standingPreferred: MBAPreferred: experience in manufacturing operations Preferred: Transportation logistics management experiencePreferred: Strong knowledge of warehouse management in a manufacturing environment
