The Logistics intern will join our logistics and operations team as a Freight Bill Auditor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and auditing freight bills and invoices to ensure accuracy, compliance with contractual terms, and adherence to company policies. The Freight Bill Auditor will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure the efficient management of freight costs. Key responsibilities include: + Review freight bills and invoices to verify that charges align with agreed-upon rates and contracts. + Audit freight charges for accuracy, identifying errors or discrepancies, and working with carriers or vendors to resolve them. + Work closely with the logistics team to gather necessary shipping documentation and clarify discrepancies. + Maintain detailed records of freight bill audits and related correspondence. + Assist in the identification and implementation of cost-saving measures in freight and logistics operations. + Analyze trends in freight costs and suggest adjustments or improvements where necessary. + Prepare and report audit findings to management and recommend actions to improve billing practices. + Collaborate with accounting to resolve any issues related to freight costs or payments.
