The Logistics Lead is a Working Lead who will be crating as well as be responsible for the Crating Areas and employees. The Lead must be able to lead DAM meetings and step in as Supervisor as needed. In addition, the Lead will be responsible for training new employees in all logistics/warehouse duties whole adhering to all 5s standards and leads by example. This position reports directly to the Logistics Supervisor and will operate daily out of the Brookshire, Texas facility. **_Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support._** **Your main responsibilities:** + Review and ensure that production orders are processed to optimize production/utilization of time. + Assist with the review of all PTO and weekly attendance submittals for the logistics department. + Motivate, train, prioritize, and ensure the team has the necessary tools to do their job effectively. + Implement cost reduction measures in all aspects of logistics SAP transactions and activities. + Pull parts issued to work orders and stage them in the proper areas to include assembly, machine shop, and other assigned areas. + Manage stocking levels of supplies to ensure we do not run out or have an excess of supplies that go bad. + Assist in conducting weekly cycle counts and adjust as necessary to ensure continuous counts are completed by year end. + Lead the department in all 5s activities daily, including maintaining equipment and tools. + Create and distribute daily/weekly/monthly reports of production output. + Collaborate effectively with other departments to allocate resources between the departments. + Comply with all health and safety initiatives to ensure a safe workplace. **Your background:** **We imagine that you have:** + A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or a combination of training, education, and experience with further technical education in a related field. + A minimum of 2+ years in a shipping or crating position within a warehouse or production environment. + Previous experience as a Logistics Lead is highly desirable. + Possession of a forklift license and experience in the use of lifting equipment, including crane lift rigging. + Proficiency in the use of Microsoft products and working knowledge of SAP is highly desirable. + Ability to analyze and problem solve to resolve various technical and interpersonal issues with collaboration, respect, and professionalism. **What’s in it for you?** Whether it’s developing leadership skills or advancing your expertise even further, we’ll support you with continuous learning and development opportunities, to help discuss and steer your long-term Grundfos career path.
