Where is the work:

This position has been designated as Remote within geography. Candidate must be located within 100 miles of a supply location or distribution center.

Job Summary:

This is a strategic leadership position that manages global strategic business unit (SBU) logistics by working closely with the SBU Supply Chain Leadership team, other SBU Leaders, and the Enterprise Logistics Team.  This position must identify and engage with internal stakeholders (operations, regional sales teams, logistics, finance) to drive freight recovery and freight cost reduction projects across the Americas Supply business in order to ensure total SBU logistics costs are in line with annual financial plans and benchmarks.  Responsible to collaborate with the Enterprise Logistics Team to develop, mature, and execute SBU logistics strategy.  Responsible for setting the freight recovery policy and ensuring the sales regions are executing against the policy to maximize freight revenue.  Responsible for delivering logistics productivity through price, quality, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects.  Responsible for coaching and supporting the Supply network in problem solving gaps in either logistics spend or execution of logistics strategy.  Key liaison between SBU and Enterprise Logistics Team and Finance team.  

Responsibilities:

Supports the SBU Supply Chain leaders to ensure all SBU logistics initiatives and strategies are successfulThorough understanding and management of all regional freight revenue & spend, both inbound and outboundCreating linkage between carrier invoices, Enterprise Logistics data analytics, and SBU actual logistic spendResponsible for reporting, mitigating, and recovery of logistics inflationIdentifies and engages with internal stakeholders (DC Managers, Material Managers, Sales, PGTs, Customer Service) to capture logistics requirements and ensure logistics capabilities exist to address requirementsWork collaboratively with Enterprise Logistics team to ensure correct SBU Logistics Strategy alignment, ensure logistics provider on-time delivery and quality, and be voice of customer back into Enterprise Logistics teamAccountable for working with ISC team to develop and execute logistics productivity and continuous improvement projectsResponsible for SBU continuity of logistics - engage with DCs & Retail Stores to efficiently resolve escalated issues and formally manage and secure provider capacitySupport DCs & Retail Stores in setup and execution of Logistics Standard Work elementsProvide coaching to DCs & Retail Stores on identifying and resolving issues/gaps in standard workOther duties, as directed

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or related field5 - 10 years logistics or supply chain experienceDemonstrates ability to think, communicate and act at the strategic levelAbility to drill down into data and understand linkages between operational, order, and financial data setsRequires understanding of SBU transportation requirements and solutionsCandidate must have demonstrated experience coordinating, facilitating discussions, consultation and conflict resolution skillsProfessional communication; both verbal and written are required.Ability to travel up to 25%

Logistics & Finance Acumen – Oversees development and execution of logistics strategies for assigned SBU, drives utilization of common logistics tools to achieve optimal results that are Quality, Delivery, Price and Service balanced and corporate/governmental compliant.Project Management – Reviews and approves teams’ project plans, oversees project execution, balances projects between short and long-term focus, secures alignment with cross-functional partners.Analytical - Demonstrates deep understanding and knowledge of Excel; comfortable with digging deep into data to analyze trends, costs, inflationary pressures.Problem Solving—Identifies/anticipates potential problems, supports root cause analysis, evaluates robustness of corrective action plan and oversees plan implementation.Relationship Management – Creates collaborative environment with cross-functional partners, assures regular/appropriate two-way communication flow, builds/maintains relationship with industry peers and providers, and reinforces logistics lead on logistics provider base.

Compensation:   

Base Pay Range: $120,000 - $160,000

Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
