About the Position: Staff Action Control Officer (SACO) providing a full range of executive management services to include staff counsel, administrative expertise, program management, and analytical functions essential to the AMC Command Group and staff. Responsibilities Coordinate transition of equipment and operations of Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS) Sites with Army enterprise. Coordinate with Army force management to identify brigade combat force structure and identify weapons systems and equipment configuration requirements. Develop procedures, systems, and methods for conducting comprehensive logistics readiness evaluation studies. Provide input to develop logistics reporting formats and data requirements and utilize automated logistics readiness reporting systems to track, monitor, and control readiness. Provide briefings to the Command on program projects and equipment sets. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) developing operating procedures and implementing instructions to maintain military weapons and equipment; (2) drafting policy and regulation changes to modify reporting methods and techniques pertaining to military weapons and equipment readiness; (3) conducting weapon and equipment readiness briefings; (4) developing automated logistics readiness reporting systems; AND (5) Coordinating transition of military weapons and equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Creative Thinking Decision Making Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -- no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
