Responsibilities Serve as Logistics Management Specialist at an Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB), Army Sustainment Command (ASC). Keep the Accountable Officer and Property Book Officer informed on developments within the assigned program responsibility through discussions, meetings and reports. Develop and implement the AFSB Property Accountability Program and its interaction with other AFSB and ASC subordinate organizations and functional areas. Manage development of procedural changes to meet changing conditions in program requirements related to specific missions. Oversee all matters as granted by the Property Accountable Officer and Property Book Officers (PBO) for property accountability and supply management. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Appointment is Term NTE 13 Months - Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 13 months by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Conducting property accountability and asset visibility for property transactions worldwide; 2) Identifying problems related to accountability and management of equipment received for processing and transportation; and 3) Tracking property transactions utilizing file maintenance and document control methods. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement. Locality pay does not apply in the overseas area.
