About the Position: This position is located with the Army Sustainment Command, Executive Director for Support Operations (SPO), Rock Island Arsenal, IL. Responsibilities Provides advice and assistance in the areas of reviewing and analyzing data relating to all maintenance management programs. Reviews and consolidates maintenance long-range planning and budgetary documents. Applies in-depth knowledge of Army maintenance, supply, and logistics operations to develop comprehensive plans, procedures, policies, and effective programs for equipment readiness management. Coordinates and integrates efforts to plan, program, and implement maintenance and logistic requirements to Support Agreements (SA), and Memorandums of Agreement (MOA). Responsible for handling a complex maintenance program at the MRD throughout multiple regions at installation level. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled which includes: 1) Developing logistics plans for equipment readiness management; 2) Providing recommendations on logistical issues that severely impact missions; 3) Coordinating with staff to determine maintenance requirements for equipment; AND 4) Consolidates and reviews long-range planning and budgetary documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position (or equivalent) in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Planning and Evaluating Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
