Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is assigned to the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Intel Material Activity Distribution Division, Fort Belvoir, VA with duty location in Camp Humphreys, South Korea. Responsibilities Serve as Theater Liaison Officer (LNO) for the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff. Determine current organizational issues by optimizing life-cycle logistical support. Execute policies and/or procedures to accomplish assigned mission. Provide management oversight of contractor facilities, material, and financial resources. Develop integrated logistical systems to meet short and/or long-term program objectives. Responsible for the continual planning, coordination, development, review and evaluation of logistical actions. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience which includes planning, coordination, development, review and evaluation of logistics projects or programs. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Manages and Organizes Information Planning and Evaluating Project Management Incumbent may be required to deploy, on very short notice, to potentially high threat, hostile OCONUS environments and to undergo specific training and immunization requirements as appropriate for OCONUS deployments. Appropriate vaccination will be required. Incumbent may be required to perform duties under austere and potentially hazardous conditions during exercises and real-world crisis deployments. *** Please Note *** Employees (and their family members) who require medical or dental care in overseas areas may experience severe limitations accessing medical care both on the military installation and the local economy, and also could incur costly medical expenses. In the overseas areas, access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only. Medical care may be provided by host nation providers. The availability and level of care at host nation medical facilities will vary by location. Movement overseas may require you to initiate a change in your health benefits plan to ensure coverage. If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12. If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for Early Intervention Services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12. Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI). This is a Logistics Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable Target Local Market Supplement of 33.94%. Subject to change.
