Responsibilities Serves as Senior Logistics Management Specialist with responsibility for the planning and logistics support of assigned Security Assistance programs and Security Assistance weapon systems and logistics services oversight. Assures timely, effective accomplishment of program management functions in support of foreign countries or international organizations. Plans, coordinates and executes Security Assistance programs and issues, to include the development of pre-Letter of Request data, development of Letters of Offer and Acceptance, amendments and modifications. Management of a major element of the integrated logistics management program for a major PEO/PM/Weapon System Manager (WSM) managed Security Assistance/FMS program. Facilitates team meetings, set team goals and objectives, develop strategies, evaluate customer needs, reengineer team processes, evaluate customer satisfaction and team performance. Applies Security Assistance regulations and the DA/DoD policies and procedural requirements to the logistics support programs. Develop plans to improve team performance and meet customer needs. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes at least 3 out of 5 experiences listed: (1) Serving as a functional interface between Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers and the DoD acquisition; (2) Identify diplomatic issues and provide feedback; (3) Managing the integrated logistics support elements throughout the life cycle of the system (e.g. production, transportation, product assurance, acquisition, etc.); (4) Managing complex/nonstandard case requirements utilizing the Defense Security Assistance Management System (DSAMS); (5) Providing logistical support involving variety of vehicle/weapon systems managed by Command (e.g. combat, construction and material handling equipment). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Maintenance Planning and Management Product Support and Sustainment Supply Support Sustaining Engineering Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Workforce position. Selectees must meet the position requirements for certification at Level 3 in Life Cycle Logistics. TACOM Data & Analytical Level 1 Certification Requirement- The incumbent must meet all requirements for this certification within 12 months of being placed on the position. The duties of this position require occasional temporary duty (TDY) travel.
