About the Position: Performs as a Logistics Management Specialist. This is a Temporary appointment NTE 1year. This is an obligated position See "Additional Information" section. Responsibilities Provide property book analysis and asset visibility reporting as the property book/asset visibility custodian. Develop internal policy as it pertains to property accountability and/or management. Identify problems in property management and/or accountability operations for the development of recommendations. Oversee implementation of corrective actions and program enhancements to meet mission goals. Develop policy and procedures on property accountability and equipment management. Assist supported units in the preparation and processing of investigative reports. Evaluate plans and ensures the implementation of corrective actions/changes reflect new requirements, technologies, and safety concerns. Provide guidance on all Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss (FLIPLs) initiated within the command. Review Modified Table of Organization Equipment (MTOE), Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA), and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) equipment authorizations for the Command. Maintains area of responsibility on asset visibility and property accountability for all organizational and installation equipment. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as Monitoring the effectiveness of property accountability operations to recommend corrective action; Interpreting property accountability guidance for policy development; Analyzing logistic data to formulate informational briefings for situational awareness; Providing accurate asset visibility reporting data to stakeholders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision Making Planning and Evaluating Problem Solving Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 1 year by a current permanent Army employee.
